Dominion Senior Living of Bristol has launched a new technologically advanced program to help care.
The community, which has 40 memory care apartments in Bristol, TN, joined Eldermark and Silversphere to implement the program.
The EHR system and a specially designed nurse call system lets team members receive alerts on their mobile devices, allows tracking of daily activity and can let caregivers update medical records through an app.
”are thrilled to have this technology in our community. The new systems are simple to use, minimize the reliance on paper and make information available to our whole team in real time,“ said Michelle Boling, senior executive director of Dominion Senior Living of Bristol.
Eldermark’s platform will support electronic health records, clinical, billing, management, sales and marketing functions. Silversphere will provide Atmos, an app and technology which alerts nurses when a resident needs assistance.
”Atmos provides peace of mind for residents and their families,“ said Rick Taylor, senior vice president of market expansion at Silversphere. ”With this technology, Dominion Senior Living will be able to empower its care team, giving them the tools they need to respond to residents quickly and track daily activities.“
Every year, technology leader, Silversphere gives away a complete Emergency Call System to a senior living community in need. The deadline for this year’s nominations is quickly approaching. The winner of this year’s giveaway will receive a complete emergency call system, including consultation, all components, installation and real-time management reporting by Silversphere.

Emergency call systems are an essential part of a community's daily operations and maintaining seniors' health. This technology provides seniors with independence and a safe living environment while giving their families peace of mind.
Qualifying senior living communities must maintain the United States 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization status or a tribe/tribally designated housing entity with a stated mission of providing housing to low-income seniors. The emergency call system will be awarded to a community that demonstrates the importance of bringing housing and services together in a safe and caring environment to meet the needs of lower-income elderly.
Past winners include Cedar Lane Senior Living in Leonardtown, Md. and Titusville Towers in Titusville, Fla.
“This giveaway has not only helped by modernizing our equipment and improving our operational efficiency and capacity but has also positioned us to provide our residents with a greater sense of privacy and independence. It has been such a pleasure working with the team at Silversphere throughout this entire process: they really took the time needed to answer every question we had and to make sure that we had a system that meets the unique and varied needs of our community,” says Cedar Lane’s President and CEO, Beverly Stickles.

The U.S. population is growing older and the landscape of senior care is changing. This inevitable truth is forcing the entire senior living industry to begin thinking differently about 'tomorrows' seniors. At Silversphere, we recognize that we all have an important role to play in the changinglandscape of senior care.We have an opportunity to reinvent, innovate, and make better the ways of caring for seniors and communicating with families. Tomorrow's seniors have a longer life expectancy, a stronger desire to age-in-place, and a greater knowledge and reliance on technology. This aging and changing landscape is not our responsbility to manage, it is our opportunity to develop.
No matter how well they plan in other areas of their lives, most people are stalling when it comes to creating an advanced directive. And they are not alone. Only 29% of Americans have a living will or their end-of-life preferences in place. As shocking as that number is, even the most conscientious planners tend to postpone the potentially awkward conversations and difficult decisions that can precede writing a living will.
Silversphere will revolutionize the way that people and organizations care for seniors.
