Silversphere is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to work with our Software Development team. Reporting to the Director of Software, the Full Stack Software Engineer will be part of the team that is responsible for the development of Silversphere's next generation products (along with the Firmware and Hardware teams). Participating in a tight-knit and agile development environment, the ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills coupled with experience working with both front end and back end technologies.

Silversphere is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to work with our product development team. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Embedded Firmware Engineer will be part of the firmware team that is responsible for the development of Silversphere's next generation products. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering innovative embedded firmware for a wireless product portfolio.


Key Qualifications: 

  • Strong development skills using C/C++
  • Experience with advanced micro-controllers, especially ARM based
  • Experience with source control tools like Git, SourceSafe, etc. and common IDEs
  • Hands on experience with test equipment including scopes, analyzers, and multi-meters
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Qualifications (not required)

  • Experience with micro-controller peripherals including I2C/SMBus, serial port, SPI, USB, ADC converters and thermal/motion sensors

What’s a day in the life of a Training Specialist?

Glad you asked….first things first, you’ll gain a foundational understanding of the proprietary product and software solutions that make up Silversphere, helping mold you as an expert. With this newfound knowledge, you’ll get to:

  • Work with and train our end-users (customers and employees alike) in a virtual training environment to show them how to use our products and services.
  • Travel the country to customer communities and show them live and in-person how to use their new products/services in their community.
  • Update and contribute to our Learning Management System to track and train our employees and customers.
  • Develop exciting new training courses using Adobe and other third-party tools that will help you create interactive and engaging training.
  • Use your super awesome organizational skills to track important metrics that will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of our training delivery.
  • Work with the training team to plan and develop training courses that bring new learning opportunities for our end users.

What are the Essential Job Functions?

  • Coordinate and confirm all virtual and onsite customer training needs.
  • Coordinates training agenda and scheduling with Community Point of Contact prior to onsite training visits.
  • Organizes and assembles training material needed for training sessions.
  • Attend customer kick-off calls with Project Management to coordinate/confirm training session.
  • Assists Training Director in creating any and all training materials.
  • Participates in internal meetings that relate to the creation or revision of training curriculum, schedules, and programs.
  • Develop and maintain job aids and customer training resources and documentation.
  • Assist with special training projects as needed.
  • Maintains digital training records and updates Salesforce fields with training specific data for all training taking place at a community or with an individual.
  • Notifies Management, Staff, and Employees of specific training requirements and insures all re-certifications and training updates are performed on a timely basis.
  • Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of all Silversphere owned company products and services
  • Any other duties as required by the Training Director.

What you should bring to the table a.k.a...the qualifications...

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • How to use Google.
  • Experience in Learning and Development training coordination, LMS Management and Facilitation (preferred but not required)

Do you enjoy traveling the country? If so, then this job may be for you! Infinity Field Technicians will be the face of Silversphere’s Infinity evergreen program. Technicians travel on-site to senior living facilities and perform system maintenance and upgrades for our clients. They also train facility staff on any new features or give refreshers for any existing features. System maintenance includes, but is not limited to, hanging wireless devices in resident homes, swapping out batteries, and mounting access points and rack-mounted equipment. As the face of the program, successful installers will professionally represent Silversphere and the value our product has to offer while on-site. Metrics for success include customer retention and overall satisfaction with the product.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Interpret and execute site-visit goals as delivered by the Infinity Director.
  • Perform site walkthroughs.
  • On-site device
  • System programming.
  • Device troubleshooting.
  • Annual inspections of systems.
  • Train end users and fulfill other customer service related responsibilities.

Required Skills and Experience:

You will be involved in every aspect of these products from design, to testing and manufacturing, and support in the future.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong development skills using C/C++
  • Experience with advanced micro-controllers, especially ARM based
  • Experience with the software tools of the trade such as Eclipse, Github, GCC, etc.
  • Experience with the hardware tools of the trade such as debuggers, scopes, and multimeters
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Qualifications (not required)

  • Experience with microcontroller peripherals including I2C, USART, SPI, USB, ADC and external sensors
  • Experience with developing software on embedded Linux
  • Multi-tasking, multi-threading, and/or RTOS experience
